The elusive Sony PlayStation 5 will be available again on June 21st at 12pm and deliveries will begin on June 30th. The company announced that the game console will be made available for pre-order at ShopAtSC.com (opens in new tab) as well as retailers like amazon (opens in new tab)Flipkart, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales, GamesTheShop and more.
Sony’s game console was released nearly a year ago and is still off-limits for most. Demand for this console has remained intact despite global supply chain issues that have stifled supply.
The PS5 comes in two different variants – the standard variant comes with a Blu-Ray drive in addition to SSD storage, while the Digital Edition is slightly cheaper and doesn’t come equipped with an optical drive.
Unlike the resupply that took place in April, which had both variants on sale, this time the company is only offering the standard variant.
PlayStation 5 price in India

Although retailers are also offering a bundled deal for Rs. 54,490 that comes with a standard version of the PS5 along with a copy of Gran Turismo 7.

PS5 or PS5 Digital Edition – which should I buy?
Ideally, you should have the option to purchase the version of your choice, however this is subject to availability.
The standard variant allows users to play their physical PS4 and PS5 games, however, you can still access your downloaded PS4 titles in the Digital Edition.
The PS5 Digital Edition is cheaper and doesn’t have a disk drive. While the best part is that it has the same specs as the standard variants, it can do all games with similar ease.
You may have to be satisfied with the limited onboard storage on the Digital Edition. It comes with 825GB which can be filled quickly. So if you already have a substantial physical collection, it might be worth upgrading to the main console.
