If you live in Europe or the UK, you may have recently noticed that there has been a shortage of stock for Xbox controllers. Fortunately, Microsoft has now resolved this.
The Xbox Wireless Controller shortage has quietly appeared across the continent and was highlighted in a recent reset era (opens in new tab) wire. Many gamers were frustrated that they couldn’t get their hands on an Xbox Series X controller | S to use with your console or PC.
Talking to The player (opens in new tab)A Microsoft spokesperson warned: “We know that Xbox wireless controllers can be difficult to find at this time due to supply disruptions. We are working as quickly as possible with our manufacturing and retail partners to improve this. Please check with your local resellers for availability “.
Since that answer, the official Xbox Wireless Controller stock has appeared on Amazon UK. However, it remains in short supply at other prominent retailers, including GAME which is only stocking the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller (Series 2) and third-party options. North America does not appear to be affected, although Australian retailers are suffering from shortages.

Otherwise, Microsoft offers two official options with varying benefits. You have the Elite series, a more premium option with a hefty price tag to match. If you don’t mind paying a little more, but don’t much extra, the Xbox Design Lab has recently returned with expanded customization options.
